In November 2020 I created THE ROOM IN THE WOODS

An Italian brand based in the mountains and beautiful woods of Trentino Alto Adige.

I create and produce by hand decorative cushions of great aesthetics and quality, designed for bedrooms and spaces dedicated to children , but which also look fabulous in adults' rooms!

Through the characters I draw, even though they are decorative elements, I propose an original way to introduce the fauna, forest flora and educate to respect nature, trying to bring children closer to the world of the mountains by entertaining them with my puppet-cushions.

A tribute to my grandmother, a seamstress, and the mountains where I grew up

When I was a child and played on the terrace, almost every afternoon the sound of grandma Lina's pedal sewing machine would rise. She would sew, mend, hem anything: shirts, skirts, trousers, tablecloths, jackets... She used a charming old Vigorelli, bought with the savings of hard work, in installments, in 1954.

I still have in my mind and ears its characteristic noise, emitted when grandma sewed. I loved to press the pedal and lose myself watching the leather cord that rotated: a magical moment as were the walks in the woods, the scents of the pines, the chirping of the birds, the sound of the leaves moved by the wind.

Do you think it's a coincidence that the most beautiful fairy tales take place in the woods?

Timeless products

I am very aware of the damaging impact that industry has on our environment. For this reason I design timeless designs and products that will last for many years and can be passed down from generation to generation.

That wind

On the night between October 28 and 29, 2018, a violent hurricane of catastrophic proportions wiped out entire valleys in our beloved Trentino mountains, destroying 4 million cubic meters of trees. We were at home that night and helplessly watched giant pine trees bend and break like blades of grass. That night our hearts also broke, the landscape we were used to seeing every day since we were children was no longer the same.
A few terrible hours in which the force of the wind combined with that of the water, uprooting and breaking even centuries-old trees.
From that moment on, the desire to speak and raise awareness among people about the importance of woods and how respect for nature influences our lives has strengthened in me.

This is how La stanza nel bosco was born, from a passion for craftsmanship, handmade products and a love for the woods.
